Bangkok has world class nightlife. What it does not have is a night built entirely around the music people actually grew up with.

Plenty of venues will drop a retro track. Plenty of DJ's will play a modern day remake. None of them make it the whole night. None of them the original. Somewhere along the way an audience that still wants to go out ran out of rooms to go to.

Decades is that room.

The music

Four decades on one floor. The '70s, the '80s, the '90s and the '00s, played properly and played loud. Disco and soul into rock and pop. Brit Pop into R&B. The boy bands, the one hit wonders, and the songs people claim they hate and then sing every word of.

And the part that matters most: original versions.

Not a house edit. Not an EDM remix with the vocal buried under a modern drop. The record as it was released, the way you actually remember it. If you came to hear the song, you hear the song.

No genre policing. No filler between the good ones. No apology for playing the obvious one.

Who it is for

Anyone from 28 up who knows the words. Bangkok expats and locals, and our visiting tourists, who want a proper night out and do not want to pretend they recognise the DJ.

Of course, younger crowds are also welcome. This music outlived the generation that bought it. Plenty of people who were not born when these records came out know every word, and they sing them just as loud.

The point is recognition, not discovery. This is a party for everybody. No judgment. No snobby door policies. No fake VIP culture. Just a room full of party people who will do the YMCA or Macarena like it was the dance off of the century. You get the vibe.

Who is behind it

Decades is produced by Alpha Eleven Asia, the international events and marketing company behind Old School & Chill Bangkok and several concert tours across several genres. Same promoters, same crew, same understanding of what this crowd wants on a Saturday night. Nostalgia, without the ego or influencers.
